Secondary School Curriculum

The school’s curriculum meets and builds upon the basic objectives of the NSW State curriculum.

A balanced educational program is provided that seeks to assist in the development of the whole person. Underlying all areas of academic pursuit is the recognition that the spiritual dimension has an impact on all areas of our life.

To cater for individual differences, the school offers a wide and varied range of courses in both junior and senior school.

The following courses are offered in Years 7-10:

Elective Subjects

A wide range of Elective subjects are offered, particularly in the Technology Key Learning Area. Students have selected the following in 2014:

  • Design & Technology
  • Digital Photography
  • Drama
  • Engineering Studies
  • Food Technology
  • Music
  • Physical Activity and Sport Studies (PASS)
  • Visual Arts

Special Education and Gifted/Talented Programs also foster the development of individual potential. A Life Skills course is also available for Years 7-10 students.

Stage 6, comprising Years 11 and 12, combines the advantages of a wide range of subjects with small class sizes. This allows more personal attention to be given to each student.

Stage 6 also offers a Life Skills program, and the opportunities to attend Vocational Education Courses and Distance Education Languages.
