Toongabbie Christian College is excited to be a part of God’s big story. Throughout scripture, God calls for mankind to practise both justice and mercy with one another.
In Micah 6, we are urged “to do justly, love mercy and walk humbly with our God”.
In Proverbs 31, we are urged to “speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves and defend the defenceless”.
The apostle Paul urges his readers in the letter to the Philippians to “look not only to your own interest, but also to the interests of others”.
Toongabbie Christian College desires that each student should be encouraged to “follow in the Master’s footsteps” as they consider their responsibility to those around them. We recognise that Christ has called us to serve one another, love our neighbour, care for those in need and reach those who are lost.
Homes of Hope
Homes of Hope is a faith based organisation in Suva, Fiji working with young women and children who are victims of, or are vulnerable to, abuse. Homes of Hope’s ultimate goal is to create a culture of freedom where abuse to women and children is not a prevalent issue in Fiji or the South Pacific.
The College visits Homes of Hope annually. Our aim is to serve and share the gospel with the community who live there. Other opportunities to serve include assisting in renovations and repairs, running a bible study for the women, helping in the preschool, sharing testimonies and engaging with the mothers and their children.
